Home Net Zero & Scope 3
Organisations have been measuring and reducing Scope 1 and 2 for many years, but for the majority of organisations it represents a very small proportion of spend despite it's higher carbon intensity. The majority of organisations have taken practical actions to reduce in this area and many have reached the point of diminishing returns.
Scope 3 is untouched and for most organisations it represents over 95% of spend, consequently carbon and cashable savings in this area are much larger than in Scope 1 and 2, simply because of the difference in scale.
In the same way that being sustainable drove efficiency savings in Scope 1 and 2, Scope 3 has the same potential but many orders of magnitude bigger.
Taking a scientific, data driven approach to Net Zero can quickly inform a strategy for measurable reduction.
